The PMP exam is based on the Exam Content Outline provided by PMI, and currently, there is no information indicating any upcoming changes to this outline. Therefore, you do not need to wait for any new edition before taking the exam. Given that you have completed my course, I recommend moving forward with your studies and scheduling the exam. Since you mentioned having some practice to do, it would be beneficial to focus on that practice now. As for the timing, if you feel confident and prepared by July 24th, it would be advantageous to take the exam then. Otherwise, ensure you give yourself enough time to be thoroughly prepared, even if it means scheduling the exam slightly later. Your qualifications up to this point will dictate which certification you should pursue to begin. If you do not yet qualify for the PMP, I recommend starting with the CAPM. As a Technical Team Lead, you have a good start, and the CAPM will give you an excellent knowledge base for the project management principles and foundations. You can also pursue the PSM certification, but I would recommend the CAPM certification first.
